| The Holy Trinity Church in Braamfontein - seems also to have access to the Wits Campus. |
On Saturday 14th we met at the Holy Trinity Church in the parking lot, intending to sketch the Mandela bridge.
| I had a reasonable view of the eland statue from the car park. |
Then we walked down to the bridge, and onto it to find good vantage points for sketching.
| It wasn't all that busy, and passers by were, as always, very interested in what we were doing. |
| Looking down from the Bridge towards the Motorway and seeing so many trains! Lots of them. |
The trains must be parked here for the weekend, ready to take up service once again Monday morning to ferry commuters to and from work and school.
Then we searched for an found an elevated position from which to sketch the Mandela bridge - in a parking garage being used by people wanting to visit the local market.
| There is such a lot to see, and I wanted to get the picture of these trains and bridge and motorway bridge in - such a busy content, but I did do some simplification. |
